Real Estate Experience: In 1976, just two years after Steve began his career in South Lake Tahoe, CA, he and his two mentors started their own company, Sierra Homes Realty and Construction Company. Sierra Homes Realty soon became one of the top offices at the Lake in new construction sales and resale home sales.

Steve also was involved in real estate as a sales consultant to the Time Share Industry in San Francisco during the early 1980's at the San Francisco Suites on Nob Hill and Club Donatello near Union Square.

Steve Does LA: Steve relocated to Southern California in 1988 to pursue a second career as an actor in television and film and as a commercial model. He continued to broker real estate to fellow actors and entertainment executives, while enjoying his acting and modeling pursuits.

Steve guest starred in numerous television shows and several independent feature films as well as over 200 commercials and industrials (Pictured at left is Steve with Lee Trevino in a commercial for Topflight Golf Balls. At right is Steve with co-host Terry Bradshaw in an infomercial for Scimitar Golf Clubs). For 4 years Steve was the traveling businessman for Hertz in many of their brochures. Steve's folks have had a second home in Carmel since the late 60's. Steve has been coming to Carmel since then to visit with the folks and play golf at Spyglass Hill where his dad, Felix Poletti, was a charter member. Steve moved the family to the Monterey Peninsula in 2002 (now divorced but we're still friends) to bring up his 3 kids and enjoy life on the Peninsula.

Golf: Steve started playing golf at age eight at his home course Stockton Golf and Country Club. He was a 4 year letterman in golf in high school and played on the Sacramento State Golf Team. Steve won the Senior Men's Championship of the Sepulveda Men's Golf Club in Encino and placed 7th in the Southern California Champion of Champions Tournament in 2001. After moving to Carmel, Steve joined the men's club at Bayonet/Blackhorse and won the Club Championship in 2007.

Sailing: Steve raced his Santa Cruz 27 "The Barking Spider" at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe as a member of the Windjammer's Yacht Club. He later sailed his Santa 35 "Captain Midnight" in Monterey Bay out of Santa Cruz and in San Francisco Bay out of Sausalito. One of his favorite memories was as a crew member of "Silverstreak", a Santa Cruz 50, when they won their division in the 1980 "Big Boat Series" in San Francisco Bay.

Skiing: Steve honed his snow skiing skills during a winter tour at Aspen, Colorado, where he was a singing waiter at the Crystal Palace Theater Restaurant. A move to South Lake Tahoe a year later and six more winters at the Lake made Steve an expert on the toughest slopes around.
